Spunky Little Dean Finds His Forever Home!

Dean, the spunky little puppy rescued from South Carolina, surely is living a dream. In South Carolina his odds were not good of making it out of the kill shelter alive. You see little black puppies are so common that everyone always picks another dog rather than choosing one of the many little black ones. Dean got his break though when retired rescuer Kerry Bryce visited the shelter and confirmed him as one that GROWL would be taking into rescue. Dean soon found his way north the next week, and soon into his forever loving home in Pennsylvania. As you can see, spunky Dean has conformed to a little lapdog at times as well. Thanks to the Feeley family for giving Dean the home he so deserves and for opening their hearts and home to him.

ChiChi Finally Spoiled and Loved in NJ!

Little ChiChi found herself in a kill shelter in rural South Carolina. She won the hearts of the shelter staff and everyone that met her! ChiChi has a excellent temperament and personality. This little lady made her way to NJ via GROWL and she went on a home visit. Tony has wanted to rescue a small dog for himself but he also wanted a companion for his mom when he was working! At the home visit, ChiChi went right in and jumped in Tony's moms lap. She was "home" and I knew then I was leaving alone. ChiChi bonded with Tony and his mother immediately and as I was leaving the St. Patricks Parade was passing so little ChiChi got to enjoy her first parade in her new home! Congrats ChiChi, you deserve all the love and care I am sure you are getting!

Wyman (Max) and Jazzie ~ Friends Forever!

After spending about a month in a kill shelter in South Carolina, Wyman made his way out of the shelter by GROWL and up to New Jersey. Wyman finally found his forever home and buddy in New Jersey. Wyman is quite the special little boy. He had some cute habits we all remember. He loves to sleep right beside you and he has a habit of making a nest in your hair to sleep. Quite the cutie! Wyman went into a foster home and soon our foster was contacted by friend that was looking for a special puppy for Jazzie. Wyman seemed to be the perfect one. Upon the visit, Wyman stayed for a few days to make sure he was indeed a perfect fit and as we all knew, Wyman was indeed in his forever home and he had a little buddy now in Jazzie so he would be busy all day! Wymans new name is Max and we are very thankful that he has this second chance and can make Jazzie smile too!

Oscar Struts His Stuff In West New York, NJ

Little Oscar found himself in a bind in South Carolina. Oscar was one of 5 pups that GROWL took in after a hoarder released some of her dogs to the kill shelter. Oscar and his "friends" were intercepted by a shelter volunteer that reached out to GROWL for assistance. Oscar soon found his way to New Jersey via one of the many GROWL transports. Julie and Sean had been looking for awhile for a quiet little terrier and Oscar surely fit the bill. He went on a foster to adopt and as you can guess, a few days later Julie and Sean let GROWL know that little Oscar had indeed found his second chance!

Winston is a Staten Island Boy!

"Winnie" oh "Winnie" how you steal everyones heart! Winston was seized from a hoarder in South Carolina. He was one of more than 60 animals seized. His "siblings", Greta and Trinity, which you can see further down in the blog were also part of the seizure. These sweeties all made their way to the local county high kill animal shelter. They were then placed on death row. GROWL visited the shelter and saw these precious souls and many were rescued. Little Winston was the male in the group and very tiny. He was a little untrusting and still is uneasy around men. His new mom Dawn was fostering him for GROWL and bonded with him immediately. It was not long before Dawn was buying him coats, collars, shirts, leashes and every single cute item around. Why would she do this? He was only a foster baby right? Wrong! Winston clearly was never leaving the Orlando home. He has 2 fursisters Holly and Shiloh. He is still slowly learning to trust his dad though and continues to progress. He clearly made a bond with his new mommy though as it was love at first sight I think with those two! So now Winnie is a little Staten Island boy!

Greta and Trinity the Tripod ~ Moved In & Wouldnt Leave!

I'm NOT leaving again! You are stuck with me mommy Susan!

The days were not all this great in South Carolina. Trinity, a little tripod dachshund and Greta,a littermate of hers, found themselves in a high kill shelter in South Carolina. These 2 ladies were among over 60 that were seized due to a hoarder that have over 60 dachshunds and chihuahuas. Greta and Trinty were offered a foster home in New Jersey with Sue and Rich whom had adopted Sir Lancealot from GROWL previously. Greta and Trinity immediately bonded with Susan and still taking stepping stones with Rich. Theselittle ladies would steal your heart if you gave it to them, and well....thats exactly what happened to Susan. Greta went out on a foster to adopt in New York and yelped when she was separated from Trinity. Susan of course was a bit upset as well. None of these 3 were happy. A few days later Greta was reunited wth Trinity and Susan when I made a home visit to see Greta and she had yet to come out of her shell and was hiding until she saw me and didn't leave my side. I reunited her with Trinity and Susan. Rich and Lance surely have their hands full now as there are 4 females in the house and 2 males. But as you can see clearly everyone is happy!

Pandora ~ Home in Port Jervis, New York!

Little Miss Pandora found herself in a kill shelter in South Carolina. She was not even circulated out to rescues, she was though lucky enough to have a rescuer come in and look for the ones that are always left off the list and she was given her second chance a life. Thanks to this rescuer Pandora was transported and brought to NJ/NY via GROWL. Pandora found love and forever committment in Port Jervis! As you can see from the picture she is the apple of Lillians eye!

Edgar, now name Eddie, was rescued from a kill shelter in South Carolina. Little Edgar was a charmer from day one to everyone! Jaqueline saw Edgar online and wanted to foster to adopt him, it was only a couple of days until I got the email that Edgar had charmed her and he had indeed found his forever home. Little Eddie as he is now called struts his stuff everywhere and he rules the streets in Manhattan. As you can see in the photos that Eddie love Pre-Westminister and all the festivities. He loves lounging at home as well. Thanks to Jaqueline for chosing to adopt and also for supporting GROWL with her donation drives of linens and food!

Diego and Bruiser ~ Two GROWLKIDS, Now Brothers!

A couple of years ago, little Diego was a GROWLKID available for adoption. He was named Teddy back then and he could run the entire length of a foyer and jump right up into your arms! He was quite the talented little man. He was fostered in New Jersey and wouldn't you know it he charmed the fosters neighbor! Well, the rest was history and he was no longer Teddy, he is now Diego and he is spoiled rotten. Since then, My wonderful foster Ilena has helped with fostering MANY GROWLKIDS and she always steps up when needed. This past holiday season, little Bruiser was rescued from South Carolina. Bruiser was and is a little old soul that just needs a loving home and a warm bed. Thats what we thought until he entered Ilenas home! He now rules the roost of the 3 babies residing there. He even sits outside and "monitors" them from a rock and keeps them all in order. Its literally the cutest thing! He many be itty bitty but he is a real "Bruiser". GROWL is very thankful to have Ilena and all of her friends and family that are always big supporters!
