JuJu (Julie) ~ A True Diamond in The Rough!

JuJu as I love to call her finally found her new and furever home in Brooklyn. She was rescued from Mississippi and came to NJ in search of some love! JuJu was a little shy and it took awhile for her to find her forever home. Everyone that met all of the other pups we had always took the ones that would run up and greet them, but JuJu was clearly waiting until they were all gone to Shine! She went to a foster home in NJ with Stacy and out of the blue one day we got a email about her and Allison and Neil wanted to meet her! I was elated!!! They clearly loved her from day one and wow you can tell from the pics on the first weeting where she was so shy and look at her now! She even went swimming while in Ohio!!

Thanks to everyone that gave JuJu that little extra time and love she needed and I can clearly see JuJu has found her forever home and both Allison and Neil are awesome! Oh and by the way, her new name is Jonesy, but its so hard for me to adjust!!! :)

Kelsey ~ Overcame Being Mauled By 2 Pitbulls...Stronger Than Ever!!

Kelsey is one strong girl! She was adopted from us around 8-10 weeks old. She was doing excellent with her awesome home in Connecticut until a few months back I got a email from Andrea and Kelsey was in the vets office struggling to survive! Kelsey was on her daily walk with her mommy and she was mauled by 2 pitbulls that were off leash and off their property! Kelsey went through a HUGE emotional and physical ordeal. Her tongue was pretty much ripped from her mouth but luckily was able to be reattached. Her leg was touch and go for awhile as well, Kelsey is a huge runner as that was one reason her daddy was so excited to get a puppy that was active was so she could run with him everyday! So not knowing if she would use her leg again or they could have even been faced with possible amputation. With prayers and the love and care from her mommy and family by her side Kelsey made it through and is stronger than ever. She still has a few scars but she never gave up and is here stronger than ever now with us!!!

These are updated pics of Kelsey, but if you scroll down the blog you can see her as a little thing, she has grown into a beauty and is loved so much by all of us!!!

She looks awesome and I am very proud to see that little shy girl completely out of her shell and mastering the Big Apple!!!

"Bongo!" ~ (aka Paulie) Loving Lil Missy and Rahway!

~Bongo~ was another example of breeding gone bad. GROWL went to PA and rescued 11 JRT's from a breeder. Needless to say they all needed a little extra care, you will see "Socks" in a another part of this blog, she was also a part of this eleven. Bongo is loving his new life in Rahway with Warren and Jennifer and his fursister a terrier mix named Missy! We want to thank the Chens for adopting Bongo and giving him the forever love and care that he so deserves!

Warren even said they even thought of naming him Pogo because Bongo truly lives up to that JRT trait of bouncing EVERYWERE!!! Kinda hard to believe it as he looks so calm sunning here, well I know first hand this little man can run some laps around us all!!!

"Grits" ~ Living it up in Vegas baby!!

One of my personal first rescues other than cockers was Grits! She was in a very high kill shelter in South Carolina. When I pulled Grits she had NO HAIR all over her face from allergies. She looked much worse than her shelter pic here. Grits soon had a wonderful lady apply for her in Las Vegas that wanted Grits no matter what and loved her no matter how much hair she had (or didnt have). So aboard a flight Little Miss Grits went to Nevada!! It was a true match!!! Here is Little Miss Grits now (named after her southern roots) lounging with Wylie whom was rescued off of a LA freeway! She has truly found her forever home and after quite a few years she still looks soooo beautiful!!

Oh and if you want to check her mommys website out, have a look at her awesome PJ's!!

Philip Gregory Omer ~ Loving Husband,Father,Brother and Friend

As many of you know Audra lost her wonderful father on December 23, 2008. Mr. Omer was a amazing man and loved by everyone whom he came in contact with. He touched the lives of so many. I have put together a slide below so that we can share with everyone a few memories of Mr. Omer. He and Mrs. Nancy proudly adopted Jimmy, a chocolate lab from the Barnwell County Animal Shelter and he also proudly drove and rode with Audra on many transports. He attended every function in SC and supported Audra all the way in everything that she did. She is truly going to miss him, as we all are, and I ask that you all please keep her in your prayers hoping she can somehow find peace and strength.

You will see pictures of him with Mrs. Nancy, Audra, some of his many friends, and even spending time with Audras dogs!!
